Dozens of large gaming tables ready to use all day. Bring your own games or dive into something from our games library — just sit down and play.
Social Deduction
Four thrilling sessions of the hit social deduction game Blood On The Clocktower will be running throughout the day. Sign up in advance via our Discord to secure your spot.
Bring ‘n’ Buy
Clear out your collection or bag a bargain! Bring along games you no longer play and sell them to fellow attendees. Feel free to advertise on Discord beforehand.
Games Library
Not sure what to play? Browse our shelves of games — all free to borrow and use on the day. Something for every group size and taste.
On-Site Food
No need to leave - our food van serves up burgers, rolls, teas, coffees, and soft drinks throughout the day to keep you fuelled for gaming.
Want more options? Letchworth town centre is a short stroll away and has plenty of options too.
Family Friendly
FBG Con is open and welcoming to everyone, and under-12s are free!
Whether you’re bringing the whole family or coming solo, you’ll find a friendly face and a seat at the table. We just ask that under-18s are joined by a responsible adult.
Blood on the Clocktower
Blood on the Clocktower is an award-winning social deduction game of lies, bluffing, and deduction. One player is secretly the Demon — and everyone else is trying to figure out who before it’s too late.
Unlike many similar games, even eliminated players stay involved — making it an incredible experience from start to finish.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before you arrive.
The Basics
Can I purchase tickets on the door?
Tickets must be purchased before attending. You can buy yours online here.
I'm very new to board games, what sort of games get played?
Attendees at FBG Con usually play a wide variety of board and card games, which differ widely from the older classics like Monopoly and Cluedo. Modern games cover a diverse variety of themes and style of game - from light party games to deep strategic ones.
As there are so many games, players aren't often expected to know the rules to each one beforehand. Many gamers will gladly explain how a game is played beforehand so you can know what to exepect.
Can I come on my own?
Absolutely! Solo attendees are very welcome. The event is a friendly, open community — you'll find it easy to join a game and meet people. Our Discord is a great place to connect with other attendees before the day too.
At the convention we provide Players Wanted signs to help identify games that are open to players joining.
Please note that attendees under 18 must be joined by a responsible adult.
Is FBG Con suitable for children and families?
Yes - FBG Con is a family-friendly event open to all ages. Attendes under 12 do not require a ticket. However all attendees 17 and under must be supervised by a responsible adult throughout the day.
Why the name FBG Con?
FBG Con was short for Friendly Boardgamer Con, after the person who originally created the event. Matt decided to step down from running future events, but the name has continued on!
I have a question not answered here. How can I get in touch?
You can contact us via email, on our Discord, or via our Facebook page.
On the Day
When should I arrive?
Entry begins at 10am at the main entrance of The Icknield Centre, but you are able to arrive at any time throughout the day between 10am and 10pm.
Do I need to bring my own games?
No - we have a games library with something for every group size and taste. Of course, you're absolutely welcome to bring your own favourites to play.
Is there food and drink available?
Yes - there's an on-site food van serving burgers, rolls, teas, coffees, and soft drinks throughout the day, so there's no need to leave. You are also weclome to venture into town to the nearby shops and bring snacks in with you.
How does the Bring n' Buy work?
Bring along any games you no longer play and sell them to fellow attendees - a great way to clear your shelf and help someone do the same! You're welcome to advertise what you're bringing on Discord in advance.
On the day there will be sticky-notes and a pen so that you can mark-up your games with your name and number. That way attendees know how to reach you to purchase your game.
Blood on the Clocktower
How do I sign up for Blood on the Clocktower?
Sign-ups happen on our Discord, though you can sign-up on the day if there are spaces remaining. Places are limited so it's worth signing up early.
No prior experience needed; a host will walk you through everything on the day.
Getting There
Is there parking at the venue?
There is limited on-site parking (around 40 spaces) and we recommend arriving before 10am to ensure a spot.
On Icknield Way outside the venue there is free street parking, but please pay close attention to the parking signs for the restrictions. The side of the road closest to the venue is free all day, whilst the opposite site only permits parking from 12pm onwards.
